ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sylvie Jones started attending life cla
sses at the tender age of 11 and often took the bus back to her parents' house in London clutching a large drawing of a naked man or woman that she had just finished. Later she trained at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, obtaining a BA in Fine Art; she still lives in London, not far from where she grew up. She still loves life-class drawing and regularly attends London's only 'Live Sex' Life Drawing class where attractive models actually have exuberant sexual intercourse in front of the class.
Sylvie is the nearest that Erotic Review Books (the book publi
shing arm which used to be called the Erotic Print Society) has to an 'in-house' artist and illustrator. She has contributed to many of their titles – The Essential Karma Sutra, several of our Pillow Books, Seduction, and an anthology of her own work, Sylvie Jones' Sex Diary - as well as doing much work for the Erotic Review; for the first three years of its life she drew or painted all the magazine's covers and also supplied many illustrations.
She has exhibited in many group shows in London and has been represented by the Osborne Studio Gallery in London's Belgravia for 12 years, where she shows her big charcoal drawings and oils of another favourite topic: cityscapes.
