A Night in a Moorish Harem

When Lord George Herbert, the most handsome man in English nobility, finds himself drifting in his raft on the Mediterranean Ocean, he is relieved to find refuge in the harem of the local Pasha. Here he finds nine extraordinarily beautiful women, all of a different nationality, every one different to the next. While the Pasha is away these generous women find time to accomodate the young Lord. Each has her story to tell, and each has her own unique way of showing their appreciation of the the handsome young captain. Landscape artist Harry Douglas has illustrated several books. A keen traveller, Douglas often finds inspiration in the Mediterranean. In this case on the far-flung shores of Morocco where the hero is a brave young sea-captain who could have set the mould for George MacDonald Fraser's Flashman.
