The Scarlet Library's long-awaited second volume of Cleland's erotic masterpiece is here at last. Master illustrator von Götha's superb art again brings to life this timeless classic using one his favourite mediums: a monochrome pen and ink wash.

"He leads me to a table, and with a master-hand lays my head down on the edge of it, and with the other canting up my petticoat and shift, bared my naked posteriors to his blind and furious guide. It forces its way between them, and I feeling pretty sensibly that it was not going by the right door and knocking desperately at the wrong one, I told him of it: 'Pooh,' says he, 'my dear, any port in a storm.'"

In the second part of Fanny Hill the erotic action hots up. Fanny returns to her favourite brothel. Here she encounters three new girls who, each having related the story of their defloration, invite four handsome young clients to perform in a 'contest' involving different sexual couplings. Fanny's virginity is 'sold' to a gullible customer. She entertains a client with a predilection for being birched – and birching. Fanny is shocked to the core when she witnesses a homosexual tryst. She takes part in a swimming orgy with a group of young rakehells.

Happily ever after...

Finally her 'supreme wish', to be reunited with her lost lover, Charles, is fulfilled.

Erich von Götha's brilliant depictions are full of exquisite period detail and his delightful colour wash drawings of Miss Hill and her nubile companions in crime are guaranteed to give great pleasure to persons of either sex.
